AWARDS & Affiliations

Super Lawyers distinguishes lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have been recognized by their peers for their professional achievements. Up to 5 percent of the lawyers in each state may be named as Super Lawyers, yet no more than 2.5 percent are included in Rising Stars. Candidates are selected based on their verdicts and settlements; experience; honors and awards; special licenses and certifications; bar or other professional organizations; pro bono and community service; scholarly lectures and writing; education/employment background; and other notable achievements. We are proud to have received this notable distinction many consecutive years in a row. Pajman was named a Rising Star for 2015 by Super Lawyers, and Super Lawyer for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020; Parisima has been recognized as a Rising Star every year since 2015.

National Trial Lawyers annually selects 40 lawyers under the age of 40 based on the candidate’s qualifications, trial results and leadership. National Trial Lawyers have recognized and honored Parisima Jassim as a Top 40 Under 40 Lawyer for her achievements and results every consecutive year since 2015.

Pajman serves as an active board member of CASD _ a professional association that serves and promotes the needs and interests of trial lawyers in pursuit of a fair and effective legal system. The association’s mission is to “preserve and raise standards of trial advocacy through innovative continuing legal education, and create opportunities for members to support and inspire one another through networking, collegiality and community outreach.”

Parisima serves as an executive committee chair of CAOC – a professional organization made up of nearly 3,000 attorneys who represent plaintiffs seeking accountability from those who do wrong. Attorneys in CAOC represent those injured or killed by defective products, who are discriminated against, people who are killed or injured by others’ negligent acts, citizens whose civil rights have been violated, workers who have been fired unjustly or injured on the job, investors wronged by financial institutions, and those whose lives are undercut and under-valued by insurance companies.

Pajman and Parisima are both graduates of the Trial Lawyers College. A college founded by legendary trial attorney Gerry Spence, “dedicated to training and educating lawyers and judges who are committed to the jury system and to representing and obtaining justice for individuals, the poor, the injured, the forgotten, the voiceless, the defenseless and the damned, and to protecting the rights of such people from corporate and government oppression.” Gerry Spence is still active and committed to teaching trial attorneys throughout the United States, both at the TLC headquarters located at Thunderhead Ranch in Dubois, WY, and throughout the nation at regional seminars. TLC’s faculty and staff consists of the top trial lawyers from across the nation, and only a few attorneys are selected to attend each annual course.

AAJ is “the world’s largest trial bar, providing trial attorneys with information, professional support and a nationwide network that enables them to most effectively and expertly represent their clients. The mission of the American Association for Justice is to promote a fair and effective justice system – and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person who is injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.”
